Both as a speaker and as an author, Kelly possesses a powerful ability to combine the ageless tool of storytelling with a profound understanding of today's culture and the common yearnings of the human heart. As a result he captures our imaginations and helps us to see the challenges and opportunities of our everyday lives in a new light. With a keen sense of humor and heartwarming charm, Kelly seems to effortlessly elevate and energize people to pursue the highest values of the human spirit and become "the-best-version-of-themselves."
From amidst a culture preoccupied with speed, noise, and activity, has emerged a man with a unique vision of life and a tireless passion for sharing that vision. Dynamic, and extraordinarily engaging, Matthew Kelly comes to the aid of a generation searching for some meaning in life deeper than the pursuit of pleasure and possessions. He clarifies the hazy path of right-living in our world of compromised values with a message that is too clear to be confusing and too persuasive to be ignored - "Who you become is infinitely more important than what you do, or what you have." |

The Catholic Alumni Club of Chicago invites you to "Sweet Home Chicago", the 2007 Spring Midwest Regional. The regional convention takes place Memorial Day Weekend - May 25 - 28, 2007 at the AmeriSuites in Schaumburg, Illinois. The AmeriSuites is a new all suites hotel - the rooms are huge - that is scheduled for additional remodeling in early 2007. The hotel has a fitness center and pool. We'll be two blocks from Woodfield Mall and across the street from Ikea.
The AmeriSuites offers shuttle service that connects with trains to downtown Chicago, making all of Chicago's cultural assets available to see on your own.
Highlights of the weekend include a tournament at Medieval Times (included in your package) and the traditional Sunday Night Dinner Dance (black tie optional - Ladies May Wear Hats). If you were in Chicago for the 2001 Spring Regional, you may remember the rainout at Wrigley Field. We'll be going to U. S. Cellular Field to see the White Sox; and hopefully the sun will shine. Other tours are being planned, including trips to the Chicago Botanic Garden and to the Brookfield Zoo.
The package price as of press time is $295.00, double occupancy. This includes three nights lodging, Medieval Times on Saturday, the Sunday dinner dance, two after hours parties, and three breakfasts. There will be Masses on Sunday and Monday; the Monday Mass will honor CACers who are veterans, both living and deceased. Additional nights are available. According to the Places Rated Almanac, Chicago is ranked number 1 for transportation in North America; it's a major hub for American Airlines, Amtrak, Southwest Airlines, and United Airlines. Everyone in the continental United States can get a good air fare to Chicago. Or they can drive; the hotel is at the intersection of Interstates 90 and 290 northwest of Chicago and ten miles from O'Hare Field. Amtrak and Greyhound also serve Chicago.
Make your plans now for "Sweet Home Chicago" soon!
